Here you can find two simple games for MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows available for free download.
A puzzle game with a simple premise, Stockem starts easy but soon gets fiendishly difficult. The aim is to fill all of the 'parking spaces' with 'marbles' by simply pushing them around a maze-like board. From the screen shots shown here, you can see how tricky things can get. I recently played this for the first time in years so I could grab those screenshots and it took me about 6 attempts to get as far as I have done in level 13. It's not as easy as it was when I'd just created it...
Historical note: It would appear that Stockem is actually a version of the popular Sokoban game. I have no idea why I decided to call my version "Stockem"...

A classic card game for solo play, Thieves includes a scoring system and high score table that remembers your best plays.

These games were written by me in 1992 (ish) using QBasic. At university in 1996 I stumbled across a QuickBasic compiler, and produced executable versions that could be run independently of the QBasic IDE. These games originally ran under MS-DOS on my 16MHz Amstrad 80286, but will still work fine today on the latest PCs running Windows. Please let me know if you like them.
